Cable Sweater Knit Skirt

Old Navy Girls Cable-Knit Sweater Skirt

I know summer is upon us, but I can't wait for fall nights walking through the Grove in a sweater knit skirt and Helmut Lang shearling jacket.  The neutral assemble below was found on polyvore.  I'm going to try and find similar waffle knit fabric and recreate this skirt.

Snap Shot of the Day

Every morning, I'm racing to get to the office on time.  I'm one of those drivers speeding and applying my Bare Essentials powder foundation (it takes mad skills to be able to do this flawlessly).  By the time I'm seated at my desk, I'm checking my Blackberry for emails while my PC is booting up in donkey speed.  Soon as my Windows is up and running, my blush and eyeshadow application is finalized and I'm able to begin my day.

By the way, I'm so in love with my new beauty buy - Urban Decay Naked Palette.  I'll have to do a review another time.

Concert Time: Prince

I am so excited to go see Prince live at the Forum!  The man is a legend and a musical genius, not to mention sexy!  I wonder who'll be his surprise guests on stage.  He's had Beyonce and Alicia Keys join him in the past.  Will post some photos (if it's allowed) after the concert for all you 80s' music lovers.

...And We're Back Online!

Knit Dree Ruffle Neck Dress: Tart on Gilt.com
Patent Wallet on Chain: Chanel
Sunnies: Gucci
Hat: Bought from kiosk @ The Americana Glendale

I'm back from a very long nap...more like a coma.  Shame on me for being so lazy the last 15 months.  I haven't kept much of a journal either so it wasn't like I was partial to one medium.  Well, nothing to cry over, I'm feeling somewhat rejuvenated from this long hiatus.  And it wasn't like I was sitting around doing nada.  I've had a change in career...and been busy trying to craft a new skill.  Here's my little work station...I was using a PGM dress form, but needed to go down couple sizes so I got rid of it.  I really want a Wolf Form, but can't seem to justify the price. To be continued...

Hot Sunday!

Man, have we been experiencing a major heat wave in the southland! Having went to school in the valley, the last few weeks in LA have been feeling like my summer school days at CSUN. Nasty suffocating heat.

For us dog owners, it's the worst when you have a big dog with a lot of fur and a Korean groomer who refuses to see your dog on the weekends. Ajuma, I work during the week so how am I suppose to bring my dog in when you open at 10 a.m.?

Why your husband no come?

Ajuma, he's been in Korea for a month now and I have no clue when he's returning. In the meantime, she's shedding all over the house!

Ohhhh, I see. You're dog too big...take too much time. Bring her weekday only.

Impossible!

This past sunday, the heat was even worse for us since we live close by the La Canada fires. Thank God we still have a working central A/C....my dogs were especially grateful their normally energy-pinching mama let the A/C crank all day. I even left it on all through the night much to their tailwagging delight!

At last....sleeping comfortably

Travel: Summer Stay-cation

I meant for this blog to have some travel content in it, but I've been struggling with just keeping up with it entirely! Tsk, tsk...such a shame how much I'm online on a daily basis and still have neglected my own home page!

More to come, I promise. In the meantime, this summer has been somewhat uneventful for me. No new promotion, don't have any travel plans, and the hubby is away on business. I've been sitting at home - cruising the net and hitting up all the shopping sites. With no where to really go, I should refrain my buying to a minimum. It's hard to stop when there are soo many great deals online!
